Walleye Trips- Walleye trips begin April 1st, and will consist of vertical jigging the fast moving waters of the Detroit River. There is also a very good chance of hooking into a muskie or sturgeon at this time of year. If you wish, your fish will be cleaned and bagged for you to bring home. Walleye trips are 6 hrs. Walleye fishing on Lake Erie begins in June.
Whether it be vertical jigging the fast moving waters of the Detroit River for the phenomenal walleye
fishing, trolling for some toothy, giant, muskie, or draggin' tubes for some smallies, our local fishery is
second to none. Lake St.Clair, Erie, and the Detroit River offer some of the best fishing in North America.
I will provide all rods, tackle, bait, and safety equipment. All you need to bring are proper clothing, sunscreen, snacks and soft drinks, and a camera if you wish. You will be notified well in advance if trips are to be cancelled due to inclement weather, dirty water, or unco-operative fish. It is recommended that you have an Ontario, and Michigan fishing license,as water conditions or just plain following the hot bite can force us to fish either side of the border. A one day license is available for Michigan or Ontario
There are also a number of waterfowl hunts available each year. Please call for availability. These are field hunts and we are surrounded by hunt clubs holding thousands of ducks and geese. Call for waterfowl pricing. All fishing trips are $300 U.S. funds for up to 3 people. more info.
Bass Trips- Bass season opens the last Saturday in June. This usually consists of dragging tube jigs on Lake St.Clair, and 4 and 5 pound smallmouths are not uncommon. St.Clair is loaded with smallies. Catching a large muskie, walleye, or sheephead while bass fishing is also quite normal. Bass trips are 6 hours.
Muskie Trips- Muskie season starts in the beginning of June, and the method of choice is trolling large body baits off of planer boards. In the 2009 season we boated 5 fish over 53 inches. Towards the end of the Fall the fish tend to migrate around the mouth of the Detroit River, at which time we will switch to vertical jigging and casting large, soft, body baits, and trolling deep diving crank baits. Trips are 6 hours.
* Larger group trips are also available which can include a shore lunch. These trips usually are run on 2 boats and have the added element of fishing boat vs boat for most fish and biggest fish. This has proven to be alot of fun! Please call for details..
Silver Bass- During the month of May the Detroit River is full of thousands of silver bass. 100-200 fish days are common place. Same price as regular bass trips.to add text.
